My New Favorite Green Smoothie Recipe-Kale, Pineapple, Broccoli,Fennel, Ginger & Cilantro!

As you all know, I am smoothie gal. I typically start my morning with my daily green kale smoothie.  However,  this week, I switched things up a bit, and came up with this amazing recipe: kale, cucumber, cilantro, fennel, broccoli and pineapple with coconut water.

The fennel adds a nice kick to the rest of greens and blends well with the pineapple and cilantro. This is the first time I have tried fennel in my smoothies and I was quite pleased! Hope you like it as much as I do.

Kale, Pineapple, Broccoli & Fennel Smoothie:
  • 1 1/2 cups of kale
  • 1/2 cup of fennel
  • 1/4 cup of broccoli (4-5 small pieces)
  • 1 large cucumber (or two small Persian cucumbers)
  • 1/2 cup of pineapple (two large slices) ** try substituting 1/2 mango or 1/2 apple with the pineapple
  • 1/4 cup of cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger (1/2 inch piece)
  • 1 cup of coconut water
  • Serving:  One 16oz smoothie
