Tropical Green Smoothie-Passion fruit, Pineapple, Kale & Kiwi Smoothie with Chia seeds

Spring is Finally here!! We all know it's been a  very long, painful winter; which means I have been anxiously waiting for a while to play with spring and tropical fruits. This week, I chose Kiwi and Passion Fruit as my inspiration for my Tropical Green Smoothie. The passion fruit and kiwi compliment each other well for a nice, sweet and tart taste. This smoothie is refreshing and packed with lots of Vitamin C and potassium.   I like bananas, but they don't sit well with my ayurvedic body type, so kiwi and passion fruit are great alternative sources of potassium. Runners drink up!

Passion Fruit, Pineapple, Kale and Kiwi Smoothie:

  • 1 1/2 cups of kale
  • 1 kiwi
  • 1/4 cup of passion fruit (peeled)
  • 1 large cucumber (or two small Persian cucumbers)
  • 1/2 cup of pineapple (two large slices)
  • 1/4 cup of cilantro
  • Squeeze of lime
  • 1 cup of coconut water
  • 2 tbs chia seeds
  • Serving:  One 16oz smoothie

    About Me

Who am I and do why write this blog? Each time I ask myself that question, I find that I have so much more to learn and discover. "Who am I" is an ongoing process, and just when we think we've figured it out, life has its way of throwing us a ton of curve balls-but that's why its called a journey.
